Passerelle Bistro Restaurant Review

~Lunch with Santa~

You never know what you might run into when you take your dog to Passerelle Bistro in downtown Greenville for dog training in December. On this very merry visit downtown we ran into Mr. and Mrs. Claus themselves. It was no wonder we found them at Passerelle. This place was decked out for Christmas like a team of elves were in charge of the decor.

~A Magical Experience~

Passerelle is in a prime location. Anyone who has visited downtown Greenville in the past few years has either eaten at Passerelle or walked by and wished they had eaten at Passerelle. This, believe it or not, was my first experience here. Not only was the service and the atmosphere jolly as could be… there was a festive couple dressed as Saint Nick and the First Lady of the North Pole.

The lunch menu was short. I can’t complain about that. Even with limited options I was torn between a couple dishes that sounded fantastic. And check out what Reign ordered off the kid’s menu! I got to try a bite… or two… and I can say, I wouldn’t mind ordering off the kid’s menu either.

I always appreciate when a dog friendly restaurant has their menu posted outside. The only thing I noticed missing was eggnog.

~The Grub~

How could I opt for anything other than the mussels straight from Prince Edward Island? I couldn’t… and I’m glad I didn’t. They were nothing short of superb. They were soaking in a delicious sauce which I will not attempt to describe with words. The baguettes dipped in said sauce were something nearly as magical as Santa entering the house through the chimney of an plug in fireplace. Yeah, try figuring that one out.

~Puppy Seating~

What a great place to take your pup for lunch. There’s enough space on the patio that you don’t feel crowded so it’s a good option even if your dog isn’t up for super high traffic environments but there is enough going on around to get them a lot of good exposure to sights and sounds. As soon as our waitress saw Temple was going to be joining us for lunch she rushed to get a fresh water bowl. That always puts a smile on my face. I should also mention, for those who don’t prefer being exposed to the elements in the middle of winter, a portion of Passerelle’s outdoor patio is enclosed and heated AND still dog friendly!

~The Miraculous View~

You can see the falls and Liberty Bridge from the patio. Temple couldn’t take his eyes off the beauty.

Hard to argue that Passerelle Bistro should be on every ones to do list for downtown Greenville. Even if you were a human who didn’t eat food… it’s probably less likely you’re a human that doesn’t love to stare at waterfalls?

~Why Obedience Dog Training Matters~

With proper obedience training you can confidently take your dog on outings like this without the fear of him jumping on people barking at other dogs, pulling on the leash or not sitting still while you sit down for a meal. Check out our YouTube page to see more of how an obedient dog can change how you live your life.
