~The Mac’s Speed Shop Experience~

While we got to know Ken, our short legged Corgi friend, during his Barxford University training experience/getaway we got a little taste of his favorite restaurant, Mac’s Speed Shop. It wasn’t hard to see why he loves the place. The first thingΒ our waitress did after getting our drink orders was bring a huge Bud Light bucket out for Ken… no it wasn’t filled with Bud. ;\
While both the interior and exterior includes all the manliness found in wood, bricks and iron this is an all ages friendly hot spot.
Not only is this a place for bikers to relax, grab a bite and enjoy the atmosphere, but this is also a welcoming venue for families young and old. Even those families who included dogs!

~The Grub~

You can hardly go wrong here. With selections from BBQ, wings, and comfort food to salads, mexicue, wraps and burgers you may think you have to stick to what they are known for and steer clear of the rest. Not the case here. The chefs here know what they are doing. Everything we tried was above par. And you can even watch them cook your meal.

… oh, and if you opt for the chili “side car”, make sure you get the “Whole Shebang”. πŸ˜‰

~Puppy Seating~

A very spacious patio with options of picnic style tables to an outdoor bar heigh long table. Plenty of room for you pup, or pups, to join you for a meal. The patio is far enough off the sidewalk that peds are not bothersome or overly distracting. Β Plus they have outdoor heating!

~The View~

Average view in downtown Greenville, nothing spectacular on the block this building sits on but the atmosphere inside or on the patio keeps you feeling like you are somewhere worth being.

~Honorable Mention~

After our visit, my interest in the “Mac’s” story was peaked. While reading more about the origins of the establishment I stumbled across some evidence that the Foo Fighters have visited! You know your on to something good when the Foo Fighters show up at your restaurant.

~More About Mac’s~

They have really created something unique at Mac’s.
Whatever vibe your feeling Mac’s can accommodate. They have cozy booths, bar height tables in the middle of the action or, of course, the bar which serves up to 300 varieties of beer! Once you decide which of their sauces you like best you can take some home with you. They sell bottles of their sauce for only $5! I KNOW, they just keep getting better! They even sell infant onesies with little pigs on them!

~Why Obedience Dog Training Matters~

With proper dog obedience training you can confidently take your dog on outings like this without the fear of him jumping on people barking at other dogs, pulling on the leash or not sitting still while you sit down for a meal. Check out our YouTube page for some free dog training tips.

~Mini Training Session at Mac’s~

Since the patio is so spacious we had more than enough room to test Ken’s meal time manners. Here is a short VIDEO of Ken walking past a plate of food without making an attempt to steal a bite.
